I don't particularly like blogs; I really don't even get them. And yet I found this just wonderful. I'm not sure what makes it different. I expect it is you. Anyway, thanks for a lovely find for today (I'd been looking for what to do with the liquid from slow-cooked pulled pork--which I'd made, after looking at a number of exotic recipes, by just covering a 7 1/2 lb Boston pork roast w/ aluminum foil, open side down and adding a maybe a cup of ginger ale, which I probably won't even bother with next time--it turned out actually quite good). I'm looking forward to trying your made from scratch scratch bread (have had fun with the NYT recipe that requires 18 hours of rising and no kneading, though most loaves I make I go the 7-minute knead by hand route). Again, thanks.

Bridget, I have to say I found your blog in a very funny way. After having a disasterous time today making a moka cake (the cake never rose, I need to buy an oven thermometer) and my frosting was really not great, I typed in Google "should I give up on baking" and the first hit was your site, with the Fettucine Alfredo recipe. 8 open tabs later and I love your blog and have let go of my baking frustrations. I love your comparisons of cake recipes and will surely find them very useful after I get an oven thermometer. Just wanted to give you a shout out, since baking frustrations are difficult and you pulled me out of mine! Thank you!!

I really enjoy your blog! Your food is creative and it certainly looks delicious! Oh, and thanks for the photography tips. I have started a blog myself very recently and food photography is an area where I am having some issues. I am trying to learn all I can.

I absolutely love your blog. Every recipe and article is interesting and I could spend hours just reading it. How can I subscribe to it? I can't wait to start making some of your recipes, especially the pancakes!

Hello! I'm wondering if I could please have permission to use your photo called copy-of-img_0583.jpg for my website. I think it would work well. I make caramels, and thought that the ones in your photo look close to the ones I make. Please email me and let me know. Thank you!
